Those with any spare cryptocurrency in their pocket next month can head to a new eastside restaurant that will take it in return for an “American-Italian” meal, served in a “cafeteria style concept.”

Filing initial construction paperwork last September, Café Cryptoria is now hiring for its impressively sized, 6,800-square-foot restaurant at the Maryland Crossing retail center, replacing three vacant spaces that had previously been home to Taqueria Santa Cruz and Rockin’ Crawfish.

Scheduled to be open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., the large interior will be roomy enough for 150 diners and features a menu set that includes pizza and spaghetti, plus “unforgettable coffee and desserts.”

Cryptocurrency, “such as Bitcoin & Ethereum” will be among the payment options.

Located at the corner of Maryland Parkway and Flamingo Road, the local operators have connections to non-resort restaurants Ginseng Korean BBQ and Kimchi Korean BBQ, both located on the Strip. The team are already planning for future expansions.
