New Grant Program to support the Celo Community
Developers, Designers, Dreamers, and Doers committed to building an open financial system can now apply for the Celo grants program.
The Celo Foundation, launching early next year, will be dedicated to supporting an open financial system that creates prosperity for all. Only by working together can we help the world prosper. It is the community that will build, grow, and support the Celo ecosystem. The Celo Foundation grants program will support projects that are committed to its mission. The Foundation expects these grants to accelerate technical development and expand the Celo ecosystem while providing entrepreneurs access to capital and mentorship.
Eligibility
Both startups and individual developers are eligible to apply now for a Celo Foundation grant.
Grant Categories
Through user research, Celo has been shaped and co-created with many communities around the world, resulting in technology that supports an open financial system. In addition to the technical building blocks of Celo, the Celo community has identified several use cases that will help provide conditions of prosperity for all.

Evaluation Framework
Subject to Terms and Conditions, applications will initially be evaluated as follows:
Review and Approval
Applications will be evaluated based on alignment with the Celo mission and measures including:
- Mission Alignment
- Market Opportunity
- Usability & Scalability
- Team Expertise
If approved, Applications will be informed. Any grant is contingent upon diligence review and final documentation which will include certain milestones and other provisions and conditions of the grant.
Deadline & Application Form
Please submit your application by December 31st. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis.

Other ways to contribute to Celo
As a decentralized platform, anyone can contribute to the codebase and help educate the broader community. In an effort to accelerate the development, a set of funding initiatives will be launched to encourage the community to participate and make Celo their own. Stay tuned for more!
